Roy is devastated when he realized that a boy he thought was his child was not his own after all as his wife brought the pregnancy to him.
My name is Roy, a 38-year-old troubled man. I got married to Dami two years ago and we have a son who is a year and a half.
In fact, we got married when Dami told me she was pregnant for me and being a very conservative person and being from a broken home, I did not want what happened to me to happen to my child, so we had to get married before the pregnancy became pronounced.
Quite a few people were surprised when my wife put to bed barely six months after our marriage though our families knew she was pregnant when we got married.
We settled down into married life and things have been very smooth until my son fell ill and medical tests conducted on him showed that he had an ailment that would require a blood transfusion.
It was natural for me to donate the blood that was required but after a test was conducted on me, it was discovered that the boy had a different blood group.
This got me worried especially and I asked my doctor to conduct a secret DNA test and when the result came out, I got the shock of my life when it turned out that I was not the father of the child.
I was so confused at the discovery and when I got home, I invited my uncle and Dami's father without informing her what I intended to do.
When they came, I told them plainly that the child does not belong to me and presented the DNA test result to them to back up my claims.
That was when Dami confessed that I was actually not the one that impregnated her but an ex-boyfriend who came into the country from his base in Europe and she had a fling with and that since we had already had our introduction then, she decided not to tell the guy.
I have been devastated but for now, the child's life is at stake and the man who got her pregnant is out of the country and there is no way she can contact him for the blood donation.
I love the boy so much and would not want anything to happen to him but I don't know what to do at the moment. The doctors say we can buy blood and transfuse into him but that it would be risky as well.
I am so confused right now.
Dear readers, after going through Roy's heart touching story on Morning Teaser toady, what do you think he should do due to the life at stake?
