As a part of its promise to improve the quality of lives, the "What Can we Do Together" initiative put together by MTN Foundation has got Nigerians jumping with excitements.

MTN Foundation initiative ‘What Can We Do Together’ is not only developing communities around the country but also putting smiles on the faces of Nigerians.

The initiative which was launched in 2015 as part of the 10-year anniversary commemoration of the MTN Foundation was conceived as an idea to do something refreshingly different for our communities and improving the quality of lives claims to have impacted on more than 10 million Nigerians in 400 communities and 347 local government areas across Nigeria.

Now in its second phase, a total of 400 communities across Nigeria were selected from a pool of over 100,000 nominations following a rigorous screening process. After the selection process, 40 communities were selected to receive 500KVA transformers, 160 schools to receive sets of school furniture, 40 primary health care centres to receive modern medical equipment, another 40 orphanages received groceries and learning supplies and 40 communities to receive 650ft water boreholes which have been implemented.

Thanks to the MTN Foundation, residents in the beneficiary communities continue to express their joy and excitement as the Foundation caters for their educational needs (providing school furniture), health needs (donation of medical supplies) and economic empowerment intervention (donation of transformers and boreholes) across the communities.

Wrapping up the 2nd phase of the campaign, the MTN Foundation team will host all "What Can We Do Together" nominators to an exclusive dinner party to celebrate and appreciate their efforts as agents of social change while Phase 3 of the initiative is being prepared for.
