A lucky man and his wife have been rescued from a shrine in Ikorodu as they were being prepared to be used for a ritual by a native doctor.
A couple who sought spiritual assistance from a native doctor was lucky to be rescued alive when it turned out that had unknowingly gone to a ritual killer who detained them in preparation to killing them.
According to the Lagos State Police Command, the couple was rescued from a shrine in the Ikorodu area of the state following a raid and demolition led by the new Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Edgal Imohimi.
It was learned that the CP had led a crack team of operatives on the rescue mission following a tip-off by some residents on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, to the Agbawo area of Ikorodu where the lucky man and his wife were rescued from a shrine where they were kept.
The couple had reportedly gone to the town for spiritual help but on getting to the shrine, they met with the owner, Adedeji James, who allegedly hypnotized them and planned to use them for ritual purposes.
Acting on the tipoff on the activities of ritual killers in some shrines in Ikorodu, the Commissioner of Police led the team that stormed the shrine and rescued the couple while the discovered shrines were destroyed while James and other suspects were arrested.
