“That you, Emmanuel John, Ifeanyi Amobi, Emmanuel Okon, Chidiebube Ngozi, Ebuka Sampson, Isaiah Bassey, David Okoro, Ubabuko Tochukwu and Oluebube Okeke on the 13th day of September, 2017 at the Divisional Police headquarters, Ariaria ,Aba in the Aba North magisterial district did unlawfully murder ASP Cyril Nwosu and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 319 (1) of the criminal code cap 80, vol.III Laws of Abia State of Nigeria 2005,” the court statement reads.
The incident is one in a list of brutal assault and harassment perpetrated by the Biafra agitators who are mostly youths. Bridget Anurika Eze, a staff of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) has written an account of how a company of herself and some work colleagues were intimidated by the IPOB supporters.
Eze expresses in shock how a group of violent youths who are strong believers in the secession cause almost burnt them alive because they didn't have a Biafra flag in a vehicle conveying them to an undisclosed location.
